Steve Smith Returns to Practice After Fight

August 4, 2008

The Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith has now returned to practice with the team only three days after breaking his teammate Ken Lucas’ nose in a sideline fight.  Smith has been suspended for the first two regular seasons games for punching Lucas during a brief break in Friday’s practice.  There is no complete explanation as to why the altercation occurred, although it seems that on the surface both players are remaining cordial with each other.  Smith apparently also feels remorseful for his actions and hopefully both players will be able to reconcile their differences for the sake of the team.

The Carolina Panthers are currently at training camp and are looking forward to their prospects for the current football season.  Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the Panthers pull off their days in training.  Both Lucas and Smith can be seen on the field this coming season so make sure to deck out in your Panthers hats and jerseys and root on your favorite team in the league once you purchase your own pair of Carolina Panthers tickets.
