Injury-plagued Panther has something to prove

The Gaston Gazette has run an article on much maligned Carolina Panthers cornerback Ken Lucas.  In it, Lucas talks about the injuries he suffered last season.  He also discusses the fact that he felt his teammates doubted the actual severity of said injuries.  There’s a lot of talk about his feelings, and Lucas claims that this year, he feels he has to prove his dedication to the game of football to the fans and his teammates.

One thing is certain.  After going on record about this sort of thing, and claiming that this year he has something to prove, the oft-injured Lucas had better hope his brittle body doesn’t fail him again this year, or the questions about his toughness, both physical and mental, will certainly  be back with a vengeance.
