Carolina Panthers signed 16 undrafted rookies as free agents this week. The team did not pick up any safeties during draft. In turn they picked up LSU’s Jessie Daniels and Coastal Carolina’s Quinton Teal. North Carolina Central’s receiver Julius McClellan, and East Carolina’s tackle Eric Graham joined the team as well. All new draftees will be put through a grueling mini-camp this weekend.
Added to the list is Clemson guard Nathan Bennett, A&M’s quarterback Dalton Bell and defensive tackle Marques Thornton, Eastern Michigan kicker Andrew Wellock, Michigan defensive end Rondell Biggs and guard Rueben Riley, Iowa State defensive tackle Brent Curvey, Buffalo tight end Chad Upshaw, Indiana receiver Jahkeen Gilmore, Florida fullback Billy Latsko, South Florida tackle Theodric Watson, and California linebacker Mickey Pimental.
Tomorrow marks the mini-camp for most NFL teams including the Panthers. The next three days is just a taste of this next year’s work load for these rookies gone pro. Check them all out this coming season by getting game day tickets through StubHub.com.
