The Carolina Panthers were one of 32 NFL franchises that participated in the 2007 Annual Player Selection Meeting, most popularly known as the draft. Let’s take a look at what the Panthers took home from the two day event where 255 selections were made. The Panthers had seven picks over the seven rounds and no compensatory selections.
In the first and second round the Panthers had acquired the 25th and 59th over all picks from the New York Jets. With these spots they chose linebacker Jon Beason from Miami, and center Ryan Kalil from USC. The 45th pick overall gave them wide receiver Dwayne Jarett from USC, and their 83rd pick overall got them defensive end Charles Johnson from Georgia.
Wide receiver Ryne Robinson from Miami, OH, came in at 118th, and 155th was tight end Dante Rosario from Oregon.
