Statistics of Note from 2006

Even though the Panthers did not experience the success they had hoped for, and many people had predicted for them in 2006, there were still accomplishments and there are still things to keep in mind as the team begins to prepare for the 2007 season.

The first involves John Fox.  It was rumored that he’d be a candidate for the New York Giants job if it became available, but Panthers ownership made it clear that they would do everything they could to keep Fox for the long-term.  That’s a good move, as Fox is one of the game’s better coaches.
